Ahh...feels so good, just shipped a huge box back to my house to be waiting when we arrive home. Although Randi has been making fun of me the past day for shopping so much, I justify it because 1. its been raining so its nice to go into the stores 2. getting all of the shopping done in one place is just plain efficient 3. i now have birthday, Christmas, shopping done for like 2 yrs and 4. it was helpful to her also when she put some things in the huge box I just shipped.
Besides shopping here in Rothenburg, last night we hit up a great local spot for some home cooking where we had fish and potatoes and sauerkraut and weiners, visited St. Jacobs church, and went on a Night Watchmans tour of the town last night. With an umbrella and our phrase book we can do almost anything in this place!
Pretty excited to hop the early train to head to the Alps tomorrow--Switzerland here we come! With high hopes of lots of hiking and white water rafting.

Sounds like you two are having quite the adventure! Interlaken -- beautiful, but Switzerland is quick to drain your wallet :( It's fun that you've gotten to try out speaking German and visit some less touristy spots too. That's when you get to see what another place is all about. I hope your stuff makes it home before you do! Take care of yourself :)
ReplyDeleteWow we already found out how expensive it is here and we've only had our feet on the ground for about 3 hours! Thank goodness for the grocery store nearby, we had a hearty dinner of PB and Jelly and some random fruit! Craziness
